New shoes, a new look

December 9, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

It worked! My shoes that I ordered the other day — for $30 cheaper than retail — showed up today. See my post below for details on how I found them. I gave them a half mile test run tonight and everything felt great. I’ll be slowly breaking them in this week.

Meanwhile, you’ll probably notice that I changed my template today. In the process I lost some of my links, so if I read you before and you’re on the list, please let me know! Also, you’ll notice that some of the “comments” links are not English. Anyone out there know enough about HTML to help me out? I’ve done all I know how to do. It doesn’t really bug me that much, but it would be nice to be consistent!

I like the spanish. And good tip on the shoes I am going to have to check that out. Wanna run a half marathon in Fredericksburg this weekend? I am considering doing it not full-out, but to practice running an even pace. Still on the fence, though, as it is really cold here and I haven’t paid a race entry for a while.

Emily – doing a half with no strings attached is actually tempting, but considering that so much of my workouts have been cross training and not on the road, I am afraid that I would pass out and never wake up. We should get together and do a race sometime soon though.

Sadly, I didn’t end up being able to do the half (and it was a beautiful day!) and it looks like I’m gonna be taking a break from the running for a little while. When I get back at it we should definitely plan a race together, though.
