At least I can still run 4 miles

If you told me two weeks ago to go out and run 4 miles, I might’ve smacked you in the face. But today I ran 4 miles, which was my long run goal for the week. With some awesome weather this morning, I decided to go ahead and get my long run in. This was only a little more than 12 hours after running 2 miles with my dog last night. It was a good test for me to see how my foot is handling things.

For the week, I’ve only logged 10 running miles with maybe a couple more tomorrow, but it’s been a good week so far. Having to essentially start over with training, it’s important to me to get my lungs back first before worrying about how far I’m going. It’s also important to make sure my foot is going along with me on this journey. So far, so good, but new shoes may be part of the plan.
